Shoeless Joe / Solo

"After purchasing this CD I was incredibly satisfied. Most of the Cds in my collection only contain a few songs that I listen to. This CD I can put in the player and listen to over and over.It starts off with a funky / slash heavy song called Mellow Baby , Then slides into one of my favorites Havana, the lyrics and musical arrangement are beautiful. The song Remember the Time seems to talk about love on trial, love that not as it once was. Just as we have all experienced in the past or will in the future. It starts off with a great gutair riff that is folwed up with some unbelievable bass licks from Keith Willey which really nails the song. The song titled No Ambition features some awesome dumming by Jeff Giampa, he really tears it up on this beuty. Solo Tango talks about an obsesion with a women that dances around in someones head, almost through the eyes of a peeping Tom, he watches her and seems to dream from his window. The lead vocalist Chris Taylor really shines on this one. An excellent song. They slow it down fot the song Say you can Love me, an excellent song showing the bands unique qualitys, also an exceptional and haunting gutair solo from James Wesley Smith ( smoking gutair throughtout the album)Also beuatifully sung by Chris Taylor. The song Connection is an extremly upbeat and fun tune. Early Tuesday also features some incredible lyrics, with beutiful harmonys by the background vocals of Keith Willey, Jim Smith and Jeff Giampa. Cracked and open is a fine straight ahead rocker. River is very unique, lyrics upbeat and fun even features a fine accapela in the last verse. My favorite funkie song Bandwagon appears next this shows another aspect of music the band can play, lyrics are great, music excellent. With love is what I would consider a fast ballad about a women trying her best, using love to make it all work. Not since the debut of a little known band called Boston at the time, (an album I bought 2 days after it was released) have I heard such a well put together album. Perhaps we could have found another up and coming band from the New England area. Since I have purchased this disc I have seen them live and may have just witnessed the future of New England Rock and Roll !"

"Something for everyone on this CD. Slow down and mellow out, or rock your socks off. With some CDs you have to skip around to hear your favorite tunes, with this one, you don't mind listening to all the songs to get to the one that you like. A lot of talent in this band. I would love to see them live. Crank up the volume for maximum enjoyment."
