CD Reviews

One HEAVY band!

"While Shattered Realm has always been known for their heaviness I think what truly makes this band stand apart from the rest of the pack is the vocals. Drawing on what seems to be more of a death metal, than hardcore influence, the vocals will punish you just as much as any breakdown. It's nice to hear a change of pace from the norm. If you want to play breakdown ridden hardcore, this is the band you're chasing.Musically this is the heaviest release the hardcore scene has received in a long time. Returning with two old favorites, and 8 new ones, Shattered Realm is here to do one thing, make you move. Each track is assured to make you two-step or make you kick box like you never have before. The two returning tracks, This World Is Mine and All Will Suffer, sound much this time around which is a plus, considering a lot of bands can't recreate what the had the first time. There are also some nice metal riffs on the album, showing the Shattered Realm is not just a hardcore band, but that they have other influences. The most noticeable track has to be "The April Situation" which has an acoustic break and some clean vocals. This was a surprise by a welcomed one I must say. The bottom line is this; this CD will make you move, whether you want to or not."
Absolutely amazing!

"If you like Hatebreed, Irate, Internal Bleeding, or any other band that's all about the breakdowns and brutal vocals, look no further than this cd. Tough guy lyrics, slow, slower, and super-slow breakdowns abound, and super-death growl vocals make this cd a must-have. Make this a top priority... buy nothing before this disc. Go hungry if that's what it takes"
