""From Hank, Bruce, Brian, and John" was the last Shadows album of the 60's--the last before their disappearance (and foray into close harmony work as Marvin, Welch & Farrar) and consequent resurgence that lasted until 1990. I suppose this album marks the end of their first period. It is a tight album with great musicianship. After a couple of stable years with John Farrar (not John Rostill who plays bass on this recording)in the 70's, the group never again was a stable foursome, and their sound wandered. This recording is a good mix of mellow and upbeat numbers with even some tolerable vocals thrown in."
