CD Reviews

Light years better than anything on radio
Marcus T. Brody | Tampa Bay, FL | 04/15/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"How 7m3 can't get a song on radio these days is beyond me. I'm afraid Seven Mary Three may always be a "one hit wonder" in the eyes of the world, which is a crying shame. They're putting out better music these days than nearly every popular band out there. Problem is, they can't get a deal, or support from a major record label. Perhaps because of the "one hit wonder" stigma.

I've owned Dis/Location since the day it came out, and I've played it so much that I don't know it can even still work. Jason Ross's lyrics are pure brilliance. It's really what attracts me to the band. He's a poet, and his lyrics really hit home with me. Stand out songs on the CD are "Settle Up", "Without You Feels", "Bark No Bite", "Blue Letter", and "Made to be Broken".

If any non 7m3 fan comes across this review, I urge you to do yourself a favor and get this CD. You'll be treating yourself to hours and hours of listening pleasure."
Who knew 7M3 could still jam
C. Wilkinson | USA | 03/15/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Man, oh, man, if only people could hear this cd, I mean, its great. It's a shame that no one will hear about this album, because it's really good, a little different that past 7M3 cd's, but thats not a bad thing. Stand out tracks are By your side, Dislocated, settle up, and of course, Without you feels. Pick this up, its a cross between old STP and the early 7M3."
Life Since American Standard, A Fabulous Journey
A. Daly | Sioux Falls, SD | 07/26/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I wasn't going to write this review until I needed to replace my copy that got jacked out of my car and I read the last two reviews here.

This review is really directed towards those who may have missed 7M3's last few albums.

Seven Mary Three surely saw the height of their fame with their debut album-American Standard, at least in terms of radio play. For true fans of this band, or just good music, that CD was only a beginning. American Standard was a solid disc, quality songs surrounding a few true standout singles that everyone knows. Since then the band has created truely complete, incredible albums.

7M3's music life since American Standard has been a fabulous journey with Dis/Location as a wonderful destination. This album is prime example of what amazing music can be produced when a band is brave enough to evolve past the commericalization and pressure that major record labels put on musicians.

If you're someone who wants highlight songs, just look at the track listing."
