Using his numerous musical abilities (singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, arranger and co-producer), Seth creates a blissful and lilting mood without a trace of negativity, while yearning for the joys of summer and reflecting on the simple pleasures of life. The gentle beauty of "Watercolor Day" will appeal to people of all ages, not just to those who grew up with the Beatles and the Beach Boys. Out of all his many individual achievements on "Watercolor Day," including the overall conception of the album itself, Seth deserves special praise for the arrangements, which often feature lush vocal harmonies and detailed orchestrations that give the music a meaningful part of its character.
