Oh please stop the emo bashing, finally a DIFFERENT band

"Hey there i'm from the UK and have been listening to Senses Fail and many other emo/screamo bands for years now. The thing that seprates these guys from all the other swept black hair wannabes is that these guys actually have something to say. They're not writing lyrics about broken hearts or kissing girls the lyrics are much deeper than that and come across as the words of a band who are both intelligent and a band who have fun doing what they do.

This EP especially is amazing, opening with Steven, the song the band wrote about their dead friend, very moody very well put just excellent. Similar stuff ensues until standout track 187 which is as close as Senses Fail get to conforming to their scene, even this beauty of a song is amazing and lyrics and drums are still predominant. Track 7 'Hanguns...' is my favourite track on the EP and just has the raw energy that so many generic emo bands are missing. The EP finishes off with the fantastic acoustic version of The Ground Folds which i think is even better than the original.

Basically if you like the genre of music you will be blown away by Senses Fail, if your some vegetating old grump then you'll hate it, go back to listening to Guns'N'Roses and all the othe bands that are either broken up or dead and move over, because this band are the future"
A good addition to the already great drive-thru label.

"I listen to a vast variety of good bands. Everything from Thursday, down to All-American Rejects. I also enjoy the melodic-hardcore sounds of Hopesfall. Though, I must say that no band that I have heard even compares to Senses Fail. The best thing about this band, as far as presence, is that they are still up-and-coming. They haven't been ruined by MTV yet, as many bands have. I am a dedicated fan of Drive-Thru records. I think that Senses Fail is the best addition to the label they have ever made. This band is not even comparable to others, but if I were to compare, I would say that they are similar to Finch, though much harder, with even more intriguing lyrics. Definitely one of the best cd's I have ever heard. This cd would go well with Taking Back Sunday's "Tell All Your Friends" and Finch's "What It Is To Burn." This cd should also be coupled with Thursday in your cd player. This style is where pop-punk is headed, and from where I stand, that is a very good place. Best bet for you would be to go buy this cd, there's something for everyone to love in their music."
