CD Reviews

Great Stories
Trey Perrin | Puyallup, WA | 12/16/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Scott is an absolutely wonderful storyteller. I would highly recommended this CD to anyone. I have spent many hours listening to the wonderful songs on this CD. (Even if he did leave one of his best off!) And by all means check him out live if you have the chance."
My shout from the wilderness
Scott | The Shenandoah Valley of Virginia | 04/07/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"theses songs are a moment in time for me,,,,snapshots takenlate nights in livingrooms, warehouses and studios all acrossNashville. It has always been my desire to tell stories and paint pictures with the words and music i write. The small, but impressive group of musicians that helped create and add to each song's lush environment are all artists in their own right. The stories are intimate and personal accounts of life, beautiful, haunting and bittersweet. I hope you enjoy my music. END"
Grammy Nominee (seriously!)
Dr. Thomas R. Goyne | Charlottesville, VA United States | 11/30/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I probably have a very subjective opinion, but this is a great CD to buy. Scott is a good friend of mine, and to know him as I do, and then to listen to his music, I can tell that his music comes straight from the heart, which isn't necessarily common these days. The title of the album tells a lot, as the songs are related to his life experiences, a very winding road. Also, this album was nominated for Folk Album of the Year by the Grammies. If you can't head down to Virginia and check him out at a live show (which I've done many times over a beer after classes we had together), buy the CD!"
