Baird | Baton Rouge, LA United States | 09/18/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "I have owned the vinyl version of this album since its initial Harmonia Mundi release in the eighties, and keep returning to the Arpeggione Sonata as one of the most enjoyable of all Schubert compositions. Pennetier, Pasquier and Pidoux (collectively known as Les Musiciens) give the Arpeggione sonata one of the best performances available, and the sound quality is superb. The LP version of the recording comes with extensive liner notes, but not sure about this with the CD.See also the Schubert Trios from this excellent group of musicians, also on Harmonia Mundi. Highly recommended."
