CD Reviews

Easy Listening

"This is not a CD to put on and "dig your teeth into". Frankly it is somewhat boring. It is best suited for back ground music at best. There are no real instumental explorations. Just a bunch of short songs with alot of vocls, nothing to get excited about."
Not essential

"And on top of that a rip-off...the CD has less than 30 minutes worth of material."

"1st.. get the remaster of this CD available with the bonus tracks..included is an alternate version of Caravan(The "sister" CD release THE CHAMP is a must with this one also remastered with bonus material) and 3 tracks from the Blue Note Charlie Parker and Dizzy album Diz n Bird at Carnegie Hall (1947)

As to the music here, timeless pieces of jazz with a sense of humour throughout..These Savoy sides are real bop treasures to those who know. The Champ is an essential pur cahse to this one.
