"Frequently we tend to make immediate connections between interpreter and composer. (Schnabel and Beethoven ; Gieseking and Debussy; Wild and Gershwin; Cziffra and Liszt; Rubinstein and Chopin and so on) .
Those relations are undoubtedly very useful but sometimes we overlook the treasured jewels of these remarkable soloists in other latitudes of the wide musical specter.
And such is the case of this emblematic and highly appreciated album in which we may to feel the impressive level of sidereal lyricism that Schnabel was capable to produce, although the fact Bach had so many soloists of insurmountable level
It would be very advisable to consider the presence and significance of this album; because as much Bach as Schnabel deserve the honor.
A very rewarding album that probably will make you reflect (as in my personal case)
