CD Reviews

His best yet

"this and imogen heap's new one are tied for best new album of 2005 in my opinion...

i'm amazed at what he's done here. sure it sounds similar to everything else but he's perfecting his sound. it gets better with time and he creates soundscapes that are just so lush and unique. they make you stop everything you're doing and surrender control. it's not always about complexity but more about mood and ambience which he has down to a fine art. it's so simple yet overwhelmingly beautiful.

"I Know" and "Der Tag...Du bist erwacht" are two of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard, hands down. i get cold chills every time i listen to them. they make that innocent, pure emotion manifest itself. i just have to stop and listen. nothing else matters when they are playing. kim sanders, jette von roth and moya brennan are fantastic here. and the bonus tracks are well worth it. if you're more of an instrumental fan, 'nachtflug' and 'berlin bombay' are also great and mike oldfield's guitar melodies on 'morgentau' are... transcendent?

just lean back and listen with an open mind.."
Old Schiller is back!!!

"After their disappointed release of "Prologue" in 2004, schiller is back to their original style. Welcome Back, Schiller!!!

The music in this CD is full, deep, and lucious. Kim Sanders, Moya Brennan, Jette von Roth, and Thomas D vocal complements the songs they sing. Sander's voice is always addicting. I also like Brennan's voice. Her voice magically joint Irish folk/New Age with Schiller's Electronic and Techno beats. It is very interesting to listen.

For schiller fans/everyone out there, get this CD. It is what you are expecting out of Schiller."
