Outstanding sheherazade

"A few years ago I read about this recording in CD Review and was listed as one editor`s favorite recordings of all time. Finally I`ve got a copy of it, intrigued by the raving comments about it, and loved it. Captured in early 70`s Phillips sound, with the London Philarmonic in best form, the playing and sonics are amazing. Rodney Friend, the first violin is magical and the account doesn`t skip a bit. It`s filler is a performance of Night on A Bare Mountain not by Haitink, which also sounds incredible. Highly recommended."
