Synopsis

Album Description
SCARLING.'s latest attack to redefine noise and chaos within the context of their beautifully painful melodies is the first single from their latest full length Sympathy Records release So Long, Scarecrow. "City Noise", showcases the SCARLING. desperate, powerful and melancholy sound perfectly and is quickly becoming a trademark to throngs of the lost and lonely. Singer Jessicka's perfected juxtaposition of sugar vocals and abrasive, yet welcomed outbursts have never collided better with the roaring guitars and pure wall-of-sound, creating a force to be reckoned with on this new release, again brought to you by the good people at Sympathy for the Record Industry. The CD single of this release features yet another un-released, non-album track making a must have 3 song CD single for all scarred and non-scarred alike that is sure to leave you with a soundtrack to your next nervous breakdown. Original cover and back photos by Piper Ferguson..

CD Reviews

The Lets-Review-Single

(5 out of 5 stars)

"First off I can't believe that all of the scarling darlings out there aren't flocking to review this release.

Secondly its Scarling..They could never put out anything bad in my book and this cd is by all means worth the money. I call this the Lets-review-single because when you listen to the lyrics and you have listened to Sweet Heart Dealer and So Long, Scarecrow in and out, backwards and forwards and you know the lyrics you find a distinct correlation and reference to Scarling's past, but with a poppish shoegazing revamp.

The Pixie's cover 'Wave of Mutilation' is an absolutely perfect selection. You hear references, or relations rather, to previous songs such as 'Art of Pretension' and 'Love Becomes a Ghost' right when the song starts out and later ends in the bitter sweet yet all too tragically beautiful cure-like goodbye that you know you was the reason you started listening to scarling to begin with.

"and we tried to change the city noise made us strange..."
