"This is a third LP from Sawako, a Japanese sound artist out of Tokyo. The experimental ambient sound of the album successfully captures the meaning behind its title - a state of being between waking and dreaming. The instruments used for production include the cello, guitar, vibraphone, and voice, as well as "sleeping melancholy" and "found memory", all processed through her Macintosh ["apples"]. Sounding a bit like a looped field recording, Sawako captures the electronic and the acoustic and folds it neatly into a music box bed time story. Absolutely essential for afternoon naps. For free earlier releases, check out TU M'P3 Project, and find Sawako's two tracks under the Soundtracks for Images Archive."
