Album DescriptionDark, ominous, rhythmic, noise, idm, tribal, ambient.are one of many monikers to describe the work of Savak. Savak is the solo project of Scott Beebe of Holocaust Theory. Being named after the Shah of Iran's secret police in the 70's, Savak is a pure conceptual project focusing on the workings of this group and international political terrorism in general. Since the early 80's, Beebe has been fascinated with this topic and now has used the Savak project to express his feelings and emotions towards the two subjects. Musically, Savak is a hybrid of many electronic genresblending dark ambient, drum and bass, idm, rhythmic industrial, and more Savak cannot be categorized into one style. Savak is starting to gain more attention in the press and listeners alike as many are curious about the name and now after completing a US tour with Ant Zen acts, Imminent, Synapscape, and Converter more interest is being stirred up about the live set of Savak. Now with that said and done..a quote from the cd "Savak does not support terrorism tactics in any form nor does it support counter-terrorism in any form. Let the politicians deal with that."
