"This is a really interesting recording. The first and foremost thing you notice is her voice. I believe her to be one of the greatest young female singers I have had the pleasure of listening to...ever. The songs are, for the most part, hers and again, for the most part, very well crafted. Some are truly beautiful. I feel that the songs are good to great, especially for her first effort.I feel that for a digital recording, the overall quality is very good and that the musical performances are definitely superior. Certainly not typical of the somewhat cliched music found coming from Austin, Tx. these days.I would end by saying that for a first recording, Birdman is wonderful and one for which Ms Pierce can be extremely proud. Now, I would invite her to do another and see if she can get the great one that is most definitely still inside of her...out!"
