Synopsis

Product Description
When Under a Blackened Sky was recorded in 1995, Sarah McLachlan's only commercially available live recording was 1992's Live EP on Nettwerk. However, a fair amount of McLachlan bootlegs surfaced in the 1990s. One of the most rewarding was Under a Blackened Sky, which was recorded live at Denver's Paramount Theater on March 8, 1995. Put out by Primadonna (a label said to be operating out of Milan, Italy), this CD boasts fine sound quality, attractive art work and a superb performance. Backed by a solid band, McLachlan is in excellent form on gems from Solace ("Into the Fire," "The Path of Thorns," "Drawn to the Rhythm," "Lost"), Fumbling Towards Ecstacy ("Good Enough," "Hold On," "Fear," "Wait") and Touch ("Ben's Song"). This concert was obviously recorded from the Paramount's soundboard, and in fact, Blackened Sky really does sound like a professionally done live album. If they can find a copy, McLachlan fans will definitely want this obscure bootleg.
