(5 out of 5 stars)

"Although i enjoyed her album "Harem" much much more. "Time To Say Goodbye" still deserves a listen, especially because of her excrutiatingly haunting cover of Mecano's song "Naturaleza Muerta", the lyrics are intense and filled with passion and longing.

It tells the story of the unconditional love between Ana and Miguel, and how the ocean who's in love with Ana in a jelaous fit of rage engulfs Miguel the sailor while he's out at sea, and Ana becomes like stone at the edge of the ocean crying and waiting for Miguel's return. It's a huanting story filled with gorgeous vocal arrangements and harmonies that just make your emotions churn!

The other songs are exceptional as well, so get this beautiful album to hear Sarah's ethereal voice sing these powerfully written songs.

My Top 5

1. Naturaleza Muerta

2. No One Like You

3. There For Me

4. Tu Quieres Volver

5. Who Wants To Live Forever

Pay No Mind to Robert Levine (Amazon's Editorial Reviewer)
MusicFreak | FL | 06/12/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Mr. Robert Levine says of Sara's performance of an opera aria that it has been "performed better by almost any other operatic soprano elsewhere." Ok, Mr. Purist. We get it. You think Sara's popularity is undeserved. You also seem to think anyone else cares.

Sarah Brightman is an amazing performer. And yes, I've heard "true" opera singers, even live. Not one of them has moved me like Brigthman can.

We, as mere amazon customers, can say pretty much what we want in our reviews here. But a "professional" should try to act like one. As it stands, Mr. Levine sounds like a kid that didn't get the new toy at the store.

You can't go wrong with Sarah Brightman. The emotion, the power - it's flawless. No, it's not 100% straight up opera. There are no laws that say music HAS TO be a certain way all the time. Innovation comes from experimentation - tweaking something here, trying an old song in a new format, etc. Granted, this CD is not breaking any virgin ground. But, it is a marvelous representation of "pop opera," if I may call it that.

Enjoy, and disregard the words of stuck up "writers.""
