"The true Sam Black Church experience is not found through their recorded music but their live show. The Christ-like singer, Jet, delivers a vocal style with the likes of which you've never heard. The guitar has a distinctive distortion and grumble that they can only call their own. You would never guess that this is their debut album once you note the production and tightness of the sound. A killer track I'd say is 'The Way We Were.' Although I've never heard it live, it'll have you bouncing around your living room. I only wish it was longer."
