The Saints return with a MONSTER!
Dano | New Jersey USA | 09/27/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"A totally rocking "no bull" affair is what Chris Bailey and his 2 cohorts in The Saints have delivered this time. They've been on a winning streak for a long time but stripping down to a power trio with Chris Bailey alone masterfully handling lead guitar duties has returned them to their rightful place as the "Kings of Garageland". This cd starts with a message of where you're mindset belongs "I wear the grin of desperate Dan" because you're in for a hell of a ride. The Saints then "Declare War" until you end up on "The Other Side of the World" where "The sky is blue". Chris Bailey then dwells on being "So Close" to breaking down due to the warlords of the world "Getting Away With Murder". In "Drowning" he's hanging with Alex Harvey and Keith Moon (2 of the wildest partiers who ever lived and died) dwelling on the American Dream and coming to the realization that "property is theft". He then gets ready to roam again because as we all know "Enough is Never Enough". Of course there's no getting away from the "fiery visions the Book of Revelation said". This magnificent recording then ends with the most beautiful song ever written. Here The Saints march off to fight the "War of Independence" but Chris Bailey comes to a realization "I think it's a worthless prize". This song gets my vote for "best of the new millenium" and this cd is a "Must Have" for anyone still possessing a "Rock and Roll Heart"."
