CD ReviewsToo beautiful to be real Golovanov Alexey | Limassol, Cyprus | 01/18/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "In 2005 Saint-Preux (b.1950, France) returns to his first project - Concerto Para uma Vozand, at the same time, produces a restrospective of his best works, selecting the most representative tunes from his previous albums - 18 themes altogether, including previously unreleased "Jeanne la Romantique", "Jeu d'enfant", "Epilogue surrealiste".
The composer is on piano (as usual), accompanied by The London Symphony Orchestra (conducted by Iain Sutherland), The London Symphony World, Laurent Eacheux on drums and Hugo Ripoll on guitar. First apperance of Clemence Saint-Preux (daughter) as singer - together with Jean-Baptiste Mannier. As most of the albums of Saint-Preux are not available, this CD is a rear opportunity to travel in time - across so many airs and tunes. They are too beautiful to be real. And to miss " |
