Sainkho Namchylak is a singer originally from Tuva, a small autonomous Russian republic just north of Mongolia. She is known for her Tuvan throat singing or Khöömei. "Nomad" is a compilation consisting of 14 songs presenting Sainkho in different contexts from solo to big-band, in different styles of singing accompanied by different sets of musicians.
