CD Reviews

"Rydah, you're next, I'm handin you the mic"
AJ | Bay Area | 11/24/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Thizz is what it is. All you late bloomers are just finding out what we have known in the Bay for years. We got HEAT. Thats okay, you can still listen, just remember where you got your game from. Too bad it took the death of the untouchable Mac Dre for you to finally recognize the bay area.

Anyways, Rydah is back with his 2nd album (the Fly Gangsta was his first, cop that as well) Any doubts that the Thizz nation won't be able to live up to the hype now that MD is gone are certainly erased on this one. Check out the horns on the first track, the beat is bananas. Then groove to "Top Hat" which features FedEx (when is his album coming out)? The album continues to build up steam until "Thizz Kids" comes on. I would have left out the kids screaming all over the track, but thats me. Rydah has a been there done that type of attitude, he really is the OG of the MobFigaz.

Rydah does not dissapoint with this one. He has really stepped his game up over the last couple of years, lyrically and production wise. With albums like this, he could be the next biggest star on the Thizz label. He may not have Mac Dre's charisma, but then again no one did. Rydah is in class all by himself, looking over an empire that is willing to ride until the wheels fall off and pick up where Mac Dre left off. Pick up this CD and enjoy 60 minutes of real music. Thizz is what it is."
