"Rustic Overtones is back - can you believe it? Anyone who enjoyed Rustic's previous albums should undoubtedly pick up Light at the End.

Overview of some my favorite tracks:

Track 3, Letter to the President is a surprisingly thoughtful response to a nation at war, not necessarily a screed against those who support the effort, nor is it apologetic in asking questions about how soldiers are coping with the stress of being away from their families. Very impressive.

Track 5, Hardest Way Possible is a third-time remake of of a classic track from both the Rooms by the Hour and Viva Nueva albums. The song is representative of RO's proud history and the band's evolution over the years. Including it here shows RO's commitment to continue the evolution in 2008 and beyond.

Track 6, Oxygen is super high energy fun, probably my favorite song on the album. This track almost captures the high energy of a RO live performance.

Track 7, Carsick sounds a bit more like it could come out of Rooms by the Hour. Tight sound and a great use of all the instruments in the band (from the keyboard to the brass). One of my favorites here too.

IF RO is in your city or town, definitely check them out."
