"Runic is a viking, black, death, folk metal band. At first I wasn't sure if they were a good band because I hadn't heard of them before but I got this cd and I was pretty blown away about how good it was. These guys mix folk music, symphonic elements and keyboards with their metal which gives it an epic sense and it helps them stick out a little from a lot of bands. Most of the songs are pretty fast and have you banging your head while a couple are a little bit slower, but still rock, and the last track is just an outro. The lyrics really aren't about viking voyages but they are about fighting back against opressors and traitors with your sword and shield in hand. Most of the songs are in english and are included which I found a few minor mistakes which ain't bad since these guys are from Spain. The song Nau seems to be in the Spanish language Catalan but I'm not too sure.



I would specially recommend this to any one who likes viking, folk, symphonic and epic metal because it is very good, kicks @ss and it has a little bit of everything for everyones taste of metal. I would also recommend this cd to any one who's not much of a folk, symphonic metal fan because it is good and it it's not over saturated with folk or symphonic elements so I'm sure that it would be pretty accesible to many different fans of metal.
