The legendary three album series of 'Hooked On Classics' started back in the early 1980's and has been monumentally popular ever since. Louis Clark (former arranger for the Electric Light Orchestra) conducted a project with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, taking a collection of well-loved classical music extracts set to a disco dance beat, the result being fascinating modernised versions of the classic titles of our most cherished composers, set into segued 'chapters' of 'classical disco music.' The result is a wonderful 'classical music fusion' concept which makes classical music ever more appealing to modern audiences and introduces a whole new generation of listeners to music they maybe would not have learned to enjoy otherwise - modernised Bach, trendy Beethoven, hip Vivaldi etc.
