"This is an all around great box-set! Haynes ranks among the greatest ever in jazz percussion, having played with many of the jazz greats. This set offers material from not only Haynes himself, but his side-work with Coltrane, Dolphy, Vaughn, Corea and other legends. This set will particularly appeal to jazz drummers, but the whole set swings and will be enjoyed by any true jazz fan. Check it out!!!"

"Wow!! A jazz drummer who can play rock, with feeling. Roy Haynes is truly a drummer for the ages. Bebop, cool, straight ahead, funk, jazz-rock. 50's, 60's , 70's 80's. 90's, New milenia. He keeps them all in their unique rhythms. The DVD is worth the price of the whole set, and the whole set is priceless."
