In the era of MP3's and down graded music fidelity, it is refreshing to see a format going the other way. The ONLY format where MP3's sound fine is in headphones. In anyplace else (like your house, your car, ...even your kitchen) the sound is tinny and without depth.
The fidelity of the hybrid SACD is great however the selection of tracks could use some expanding. I would have liked to have more of the Avalon or Stranded albums on it. Overall you will like the disc, plus the low end is great, especially with a subwoofer." |
