CD Reviews

My Best Friend Loves this Record to Death
Diane Mcgough | Lake Oswego, OR | 02/06/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is totally a chick's album. Girls will love "What Became of Me" on all the different levels, especially lyrically. The music, especially the vocals, are a bit too sweet for the angry metal head dudes to relate to, but for those who like sensitive boys (like Dashboard Confessional), making sensitive music with heart on the sleeve lyrics, than this is the album for you. It's the band's second disc for Trustkill Records and my best friend (a sensitive girl) really loves it.

The Band gets compared to Taking Back Sunday, but is just lacking something in the over-packed emo world of bands of the same genre for me. Still, like I said my best friend loves it to death, so five stars from me, despite the few misgivings I may have."
Roses Are Red is the best band ever!

"I love Roses Are Red, the boys are so polite and kind on their tours and they produced another wonderful album. All the songs are catchy and really powerful...this is a must have!"

"I love Roses are Red and have supported them for some time now. Since their first cd came out ive been to almost all their shows (since i live 30 minutes from rochester their hometown) and bought their stickers and hoodies. Ive talked with the guys and they are very cool.

Now with the cd. Its very plain. It seems uninspired and lost is the energy from Conversations. I loved Conversations and that it could use a little touch up on vocals but the new vocals seem so fake. Too much computer editing and way too many boring rock added in. I am very disappointed (add it to the list cough thursday and atreyu cough) with this release. I will still support them and check out the shows but Im not very happy with the direction they have taken. Gone are the screams, the energy, the drive. Maybe next time RaR."
