"Considering how good 'Every Generation' was, i wasn't sure his follow-up could live up to it. I was pleasantly wrong. I bought Sold Ground on LP when it was released back in 1980 & it always was a favorite. Glad to see it reissued on CD (which i bought again) and hopefully 'Flame' from 1978 will be reissued as well!"

"I found this used for 20.00 and so glad i did! This is yet another clasic jazz/funk/R&B CD from the Great Ronnie Laws. If you like this get Friends and Strangers, and Every generation. Flame is another good one, but it has never been on CD. This man was the SH*$. I never get tired of this CD or the other 2 listed above. I would give this one 10 stars!"
