Romantic Bass Trombone is a cd to have in your collection!

"John Rojak, a talented and virsatile bass trombonist living in New York, has a beautiful recording out. John, known for his impressive and dexterious work with the American Brass Quintet, recorded this cd in a wonderful hall in Aspen, Colorado, where his group the ABQ resides in the summer. Aptly titled "The Romantic Bass Trombone", the cover of the cd shows John Rojak holding a glass of wine, possibly merlot. It is a wonderful listen from top to bottom, and features great selections from the romantic era. Chopin, Rachmaninoff and a little known Russian composer by the name of Lebedev, are three of the composers. There is little repetoire for the bass trombone, apparently, but it doesn't matter on this recording. Mr. Rojak is obviously a talented, sensitive artist who takes these pieces and crafts them gently into music you can only imagine being written exclusively for the bass trombone. Of the few bass trombone recordings available today, this is one to have and keep ready in the cd changer."
