Synopsis

Product Description
The band Roll on Red traces its roots back to a Christmas morning many years ago when Santa brought young Micah Muzio a guitar. What he actually wanted was a bass, but Micah didn t complain because Santa has powers and it's best to not cross him. In the years since, Micah has played in an endless stream of embarrassing bands, including a memorable one-week stint playing bass for a country boy band. There were also high points, including a rippin' semester in high school jazz band, some very fun shows with The Dublin Panik, and several great years writing music, singing and playing bass for pop-punk sensation Schwag. After Schwag broke up, Micah could have easily stopped playing music to focus entirely on the dark arts of talk radio, his profession at the time. Thankfully Micah chose to explore the bright arts of home recording instead. During this period of creative discovery, Micah began to merge the punk rock aesthetic he had explored in Schwag with the practical realities of being a one-man band. Micah's not much of a drummer and didn't have the equipment to record drums even if he were, so he began to dabble with sampling and sequencing, which led to an increasing influence of electronic elements in his music. The development of Roll on Red as a band didn t really hit its stride until 2006, when Micah had a vivid revelation that he was going to die at some point in the next 80 years or so. With the specter of his own demise looming large, Micah devoted himself to squeezing the most out of every day and adding as much creativity to the world as possible. Since that point, Micah has immersed himself in an endless sea of creative projects, but none holds more prominence than his work as Roll on Red. With the release of Zeros and Ones, My Love, Roll on Red embarks on an exciting new phase of its journey. Music that was once produced solely for the joy of its creator will now be sent out into the world. Some will hate it and most will never hear it, but some will love it and, Micah hopes, share it with others. What remains unchanged is the concept at the core of Roll on Red: creating energetic, enjoyable and meaningful music free from artistic compromise. In the end, the band is really just Micah. So if you have complaints you know where to send them.
