"Flutist R. Stallman and the Martinu Quartet's beautiful playing and unique arrangement bring to life Schubert's voice afresh as if channeling his creative voice. This is what struck me about the phrasing and the colors of this unusual arrangement. Love it--I listen to it almost every day for like 4 weeks now and still find it fascinating. I am happy to have found it!"

"I put this CD into the player in my car, and before I knew it, I'd listened to it at least 10 times. These are transcriptions that sound like they were originally written for string quartet - akin to the Mozart flute quartets. The original music on which they're based is wonderful, but better still, the playing is deliciously musical. "Yummy" is the word that comes to mind. I may have to listen to it 10 more times..."
