First-rate stuff!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Richard Band was one of the better B-movie composers of the early to late eighties, and his work on "From Beyond", the follow up to Stuart Gordon/Brian Yuzna's 1985 cult hit "Re-Animator", is a shinning example of Band in his top form.

The orchestral score he supplies the movie with perfects the images to a point, evocative and subtle at some moments, scary and ominous at others, and still yet, occasionally beautiful. The best tracks are 1 and 13 in my opinion.

The only problem I had with this CD is an annoying excess-hissing.

It's not really intrusive to the music, but I knew it was there the whole time I listened, so keep the volume steady and you shouldn't notice it too much.

Excellent score either way."
