CD Reviews

Ricardo Montaner is at his best with

""Sueño Repitido" (literally Repeated Dream) is an excellent album from the Argentinian born, but Venezuelan raised singer and composer Ricardo Montaner. Filled with ballads, music that is European influenced and such, "Sueño Repitido" is a Latin music sensation and hit. Ricardo Montaner is at his best here with a number of excellent hits; those that stand out in my mind include "La Clave Del Amor", "Resumiendo", "Bésame", "Cada Quién Con Cada Cual", "Vivo En El Mar", and "Moliendo Café". What I find funny is that two of the three fastest songs on the album, "Rey Sin Trono" and "Vivo En El Mar" were all originally Italian songs, that Ricardo Montaner translated and sang in Spanish, and "Moliendo Café" is originally a Portuguese song from Brazil. Besides that, Ricardo Montaner has a great voice, and excellent composing abilities since he wrote all but two or three of the songs, and I hope his next album is just as good as this one."
A repeated success, a dreamy album

"After his last CD CON LA METROPOLITAN LONDON ORCHESTRA, in which only one song was new, we thought that Montaner had reached his highest peak and wasn't able to top his past hits. But this album was a very pleasant surprise. Not only the songs are wonderfully written, and the music is as romantic and melodious as it can get, but Ricardo's voice is at his best. One of the songs, BESAME, was sung by Ricardo in a top Colombian soap opera (BETTY LA FEA), widely watched throughout Latin America, and not only did it automatically became a #1 hit, but also almost every "lover" used it to gain back his significant other's love back (as it happened in the soap opera). The rest of the songs are so beautiful, that it is very hard to pick one over the others. Every song is a "Side A" item. I enthusiastically recommend it."
He did it again

"Montaner did it again.
This CD is a wonderfull peak to Ricardo's work. Romantic balads for any one.
One coment to one previous review, Moliendo Cafe is not an italian song. It is one of the most played venezuelan songs in the world and the credits to Hugo Blanco are in the CD's cover."
