"That's a strong statement...but I mean it wholeheartedly. Well, I don't know about "pop", when I think "pop"-punk, I think stuff that's a bit more Ramones influenced...this, being from Cali is obviously more Cali-influenced. ANYWAY...I'm getting off the point here. There are certainly bands more famous than Rhythm Collision, bands which were more consistent throughout the course of their career (you can never go wrong with mid-period Screeching Weasel records, The Queers 'Love Songs for the Retarded', or anything by Green Day - from '39/Smooth' right through 'Insomniac')....but, in the 15+ years I've been listening to punk rock, I have NEVER heard a better catchy punk records than Rhythm Collision's "Clobberer". Full of energy, and simple riffs that will stick in your head forever. This record is on eternal repeat, and it's awful that this band never got the respect they deserved. I saw them once, with about 30 people in the audience, and they blew me away. Every song is a concise punk rock masterpiece. This is the blueprint, and although their other records are good, too -- this is the ONE....their one bonafide moment of genius."
