Hymnmorphosis is a set of 15 standard Christian hymns, arranged in contrasting contemporary musical styles, from Rock to Carribean, from Latin to Country, etc. All arrangements use some part of the original melodies, and nearly all use the original melodies in their entirety. Revolution is the house band at Revolution Church of Kansas City, MO. The album, "Hymnmorphosis," is a hymn restoration project that focuses on making quality recordings and contemporized arrangements of old hymns that are accessible and desirable to church "praise" bands of the modern rock/pop persuasion. The artists of Revolution are everyday musicians (most of whom have everyday jobs) who have worked long hours in an effort to produce an album that surpasses the scope of any similar project preceding it. Hymnmorphosis may be focused towards church musicians, but this album will surely appeal to a much wider audience, one that bridges generational and cultural gaps and brings together lovers of Christian hymns, rock/pop music, Americana and the Christian Contemporary genre.
