The works are very melodic and listenable. Muradian's writing "might be characterized as late Baroque filtered through early Romantic, as if Mendelssohn had come across a volume of Armenian melodies." (International Record Review) Kosins, like the Muradian, "is certainly attractive music." (Fanfare) The Biggs Dance Suite is a masterpiece for oboe and string trio. La Traille is an exciting composer, not previously heard on recordings. Peter Christ has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the major movie studio orchestras.
