Synopsis

Album Description
The Rembrandts pretty much slipped off the pop radar after their fluke mid-'90s hit "I'll Be There for You," whose success (as the theme of a hit TV show nonetheless) pretty much guaranteed they'd be dismissed by hipsters. Judged without that baggage, though, Lost Together is a respectable, likable, even modest pop/rock record, better than those of many indies with cooler reputations. (And actually, this is on an indie label.) The melodies and harmonies are pleasing and not cliché. The songs are no great shakes as far as breaking new territory, but they're well-crafted evocations of the good and ambivalent times of personal maturation and romantic relationships. The production is no-nonsense, with some appealing acoustic guitar textures. It's not oomphed up for modern rock radio play as much as such material would be in the hands of large corporations. All this adds up to a triumph, given the low-key expectations for the endeavor. Atenzia. 2005.

Thank The Almighty...It's Good!

"After the previous release of Danny Wilde & The Rembrandts, I never expected to purchase another disc by them. With Phil Solem out of the picture, it seemed like the glory days were long behind. So, imagine my surprise when I heard about The Rembrandts releasing 'Lost Together,' with the return of Phil Solem. I thought to myself, 'I dunno about this....could be good, but...!'Well, I'm happy to say that I took a big leap of faith and it was well worth it. 'Lost Together' is a solid collection of songs from two great collaborators. Best album by the band since the first 2 releases, and sometimes threatens to be better than those, it's that good. If you liked the band back in the day, they deserve another chance to win you over. Definitely a keeper."

"i picked this album off ... when it was releasd to us die hard fans, i bought this version asap, as the tracks i feel are in a better running order plus theyve been more produced since the rough cuts of the ... version
this album finds the boys returning to there roots, stripped down guitars and an acoustic feel. this albums is what "spin this" would have been like had Phil been onboard. the songs are brilliant, some ranking among the best the 'Brandts have ever done namely 'too late' 'one of us' 'another day down' are some of the highlights of an all together breath taking album. As you'd come to expect from the 'Brandts songs are about love lost and found mainly.
so to conclude if you like a) the 'Brandts b)nice acoustic rock c)rock with pop sensiablities then this is the album for you. ok i do have one negative comment its not much but meh! on the song 'Lost together' theyve turned down the horns so if you get the chnce try and get the ... version for this song"

"Only 2 listens under my belt and my only question is why aren't these guys monsters in the business? Quality tracks from start to finish. All you expected from the Rembrandts and more. You will not be disappointed."
