Any New Music From The Remains Is Cause For Celebration

"There are a couple of moments in Movin' On where The Remains almost rise to the inspired level of the Capitol demo. In all other respects it's a fine, professional effort that shows the band in good form - the playing and singing are first-rate. The songwriting is strong, though stylistically it reflects a lot more of Barry Tashian's post-Remains country career.

If you know the band's earlier work, this is a must-have. If you don't, you'll think this is a pretty fair band. The only thing wrong with Movin' On is that it's not the great album that should have been recorded in 1966 and released on Capitol.
