Synopsis

Album Description
German composer Reinhard Keiser (1674-1739) is surely one of the most unjustly neglected of all the Baroque opera composers. He was considered the master of his era by his contemporaries, and Handel stole dozens of Keiser's tunes for his own operas and oratorios. His music is melodic, vividly colorful, and Croesus is one of his best operas.
