Synopsis

Album Description
The program is robust and varied: in a Cohen-like folk vein there are the sombre, languorous "My War Is Starting Now", "Don't Create a Ditch" and "In My Secret Life"; in a clearly more Dylanesque folk-rock spirit there are the keen and edgy "The Hunter" or "Turtle Iron Shell". And there are also "A Gun" and "On the Freeway" in a livelier, more country tone, "Nothin' to Celebrate" with its ultra-primitive Louisiana flavour, and the astonishing, jubilant "Hypothetical Holiday's", a kind of juke-joint mambo-rock that's just crazy enough to please. All in all, not a single false step.
