Synopsis

Product Description
Germany's Red Circuit return, putting their own Progressive Metal visions into practice and displaying a creativity which, to put it bluntly, simply blows you away. Their second album, "Homeland" shows the quintet earthier, more explosive and more riff-oriented than on its predecessor from 2006, which convinced fans and critiques alike and formed a solid base for the band's second album. "Homeland" clears away any remaining doubts: Red Circuit is a musically creative monster, serving up a magical blend of progressive rock elements and high quality Power Metal for the 21st Century.

(5 out of 5 stars)

"In my search for new bands I came across Red Circuit. This album expands on their first to a more contemporary atmosphere. It has traditional metal aspects with some symphonic elements and an epic like feel to some of the songs. Solos are great. They have an old school feel to them. This is very well written and has a more mature feel to it at best. Kiddies might not like this but for the older listener this might be a jem for you. Ex Firewind singer Chitral "Chity" Somapala does a very good job here. His voice is nothing different in this genre except for his raspy voice at times. I wish he would expand on his raspy singing to create a style all his own. The title track "Homeland" will wow you. At least I was amazed by it. Best song on the album. "Fall In The Skies" is well crafted and "You Can Sleep While you're dead" is brilliant in its simplicity. A very good solid album. I look forward to the third. Expand the sound even further fellas. I want a whole album with songs like "Homeland" and "Fall In The Skies". The mood changes in these songs and they have unconventional bridges. They bring you up and down and give you the thought of.....Oh where did that come from. On first listen you WILL think to yourself "I was not expecting the song to have that part". Good stuff here. Good addition to your collection of progressive metal."
