"Just because the Red Aunts are one of my favorite bands EVER, does not mean I wont be fair about this album. By that I mean I am saying this album is just good, instead of great (lol). First off, do not bother with this CD if you don't appreciate girl garage/blues punk rock. The best way to describe this one is pure fun, raunchy loud noise. 'Batman a Go-Go' is a hilarious song about an aging stripper. My favorites here are 'My Impala 65,' ...At the beginning of M. M, you hear a clip from a live Johnny Cash album say, 'Hello, I'm Johnny Cash,' and you know all hell will break loose after. Soon comes the lines 'I'm a creep' over and over and you know your in for a cool, crrrazy treat.
The songs are short enough that if any of them annoy you, it will be for a short amount of time. If you don't dig this album, you should definitely give the Red Aunts another try. I would definitely recommend the albums "Number One Chicken" or "Saltbox" as a first listen. Those albums are much more refined and show this bands true talent coming into focus."
