It is such a good example of good art: varied elements that complement each other, creating colors of profound meaning-- even if it isn't clear upon an initial listening. For example, with the Party piece, is he saying that the only good party is a party that doesn't exist, or is it a statement about the dangers of imagination or laziness?Just when you think john S. Hall is on the verge of self-loathing, he picks you right back up with morbid commercials or banal yet intriguing cancer metaphors. I just wish he would have made more CD's like this-- i don't think that his band (king missile) ever quite achieved the delicate mergence of spoken word and music like it is presented here."
