And actually,the sound isn't that bad.The recordings of Bessie Smith are pretty horrible,but you have to look past the recording quality and listen to the heart of the music.It is also an interesting compilation,because Ray started out imitating Nat"King" Cole,and you can hear that on a few cuts on this CD. I just wish we could be looking forward to another album..but his voice will never be stilled.He was without peer."
