Although the whole CD has no weak performance 'Pavane pour un infante defunte' , sounds particularly stunning, as does 'La Valse'. I might be a little biased towards this performance of Ravel's works, since it was the first disc I heard from this composer. But after having listened to several other performances of Bolero, La Valse, Abolrorada, Tzigane and Pavane (on CD and on Vinyl) I must insist, that this is still my favorite." |
