Synopsis

Album Description
It is said that the Anglo-Saxons carry their memory in their hearts. And it seems that Raül Moya (who plays with élena, Miqui Puig, Sitcom, Romodance and Refree) has gone there to recover the memories which bring his solo debut to life. That is because La Nueva Era Glaciar sounds as if it had been made with his heart and memories. It also sounds Anglo-Saxon due to the dragging-tempo of his confessional folk-rock. However, the fact that the album is written in Spanish (and really well) and that it gets a Latin-Mediterranean touch by using accordions, toy percussions, and so on, moves him away from the Anglo cliché. From that cliché and from any other. This is a very personal album. The more you listen to it the more you cannot avoid comparing him with the Andrés Calamaro of Honestidad Brutal: both albums share a lack of emotional reserve and have fed themselves with legends, namely Bob Dylan, but without being trapped inside caricature.
