"This first of the only two(?!) Viz-released Ranma 1/2 season soundtracks released is excellent, surpassed only by its successor, which would get six stars if Amazon let me select it.Not only does the vast majority of the incidental music and cues from the first season make it onto this disc, but so do the extended versions of the opening and closing songs, and a fantastic light pop tune "Two Part Secret Heart" sung by none other than Akane no seiyuu Noriko Hidaka (which can be heard in one of the cafes where Nabiki is selling photographs to Kuno) which is worth the cost of the album alone.The cues lean more to the lazy and beautiful, particularly track 15 (which always brings tears to my eyes), but there are some peppy moments as well, and the CD works great as listening or background music.Even if you don't care much for Ranma or anime, you'll love this CD!"
