Synopsis

Album Description
From our producer, Mike Hoffmann: Come to where the flavor is. Filed under pop vocal you'll find Random Maxx. Their infectious arsenal of wit, grit, melody, and heart renders one a willing captive. Matty, Mark, Bo, and Jim are all triple threats. Each writes, sings, and plays with such nature and accomplishment it makes for a truly tripendicular listening experience. What stands tall is a dazzlingly individual brand of power pop, something they make look so easy... where many bands of the idiom fall so short. The honesty and heart revealed here is a cure. I'm proud of them. I hope you enjoy this CD as much as I enjoyed producing it. Thanks for listening. Thanks guys, Mike Hoffmann. 11/01

CD Reviews

Brilliant blend of nostalgia and innovation
12/13/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Rock Star Parking is a fresh creative funny and touching compilation of funky swingin' rock, touching ballads, and hilarious (Bare Naked Ladies-esque) commentary on the state of the human condition in the 21st century. All 4 of these super-talented fellas contribute to the brilliantly textured work of art that is "Rock Star Parking." Fabulous vocals, inspired guitar, funky and ... solid bass are supported with some of the most genius drum playing this fan has ever heard. I highly recommend this album to any child of the '80s, whose taste has matured over the years, but still longs for that elusive scent that brings you back to when.... We finally know the difference b/w good and bad music, --this is good music! Fun, technically solid, inspired writing and a sense of humor. Who could ask for more?"
